Dodder Anglers Story
The River Dodder as usual threw up a few good trout during the weekend. The witching hour (the last hour of light)seemed to be the best time. With lots of walkers, joggers and dogs about all day towards the night seemed the best.
With a few drops of rain the river Dodder had changed colour and so a change of tactics, I put on a copper Mepps Size 0 and this did the trick. I had six small returners all fish under 9 inches and as I moved up towards the weir at Churchtown, I started to catch bigger.
Two beautiful obliging trout of at least a pound and half chomped my Mepps. Quickly unhooked the Trout using a small forceps, they swam back strongly. If you need any info or tackle, drop into me in BAUMANNS and ask for STEVO.
